Which toy or teacup dog would be better?
“Teacup” is just a name that has been placed on a smaller than average toy. There are standards to every breed and teacup isn’t one of them. Yorkies are not great with children. They are small, delicate and high strung. There are many smaller breeds that are much sturdier. Also, keep in mind when you buy a dog with longer hair there will be much grooming required. You would be surprised after about six months of age how quickly your dog will become matted without DAILY brushing, not just on the surface but to the skin, and many puppies don’t really like it. I have only 3 kids (and I’m a dog groomer) and I do not have the time to properly care for a long haired dog. Look into a rat terrier or a miniature dacschund.
