Which town near Valley Forge is best?

We are relocating from Southern California to Chester County area. Any place within a 20-30 minute drive of Paoli is open to us. We don’t really know the area at all and are trying to find a home via internet and infrequent visits. Looking for a small piece of land but a house in a neighborhood with neighbors (ie not too rural) and close to modern conveniences (restaurants, stores, etc) in the 650 – 800K range. Would love to hear advice about the best towns to choose. Thanks so much!
