Which test can the police take for psychological sanity?

The police do not do such tests but if they were concerned they would call in a police surgeon (Doctor) and if he thought there was grounds to suspect mental instability he would then call in another Doctor who has to agree with him before they could section someone although sectioning to a mental hospital is not always the outcome for all sorts of reasons one being not enough beds in the mental healthh service and you would have to be bad to get sectioned

EPQ is the most well known psycometric test and it can denonate any psychological abnormalities. Then for depression they might use the Becks or Hamilton Scales.

The police don’t test for “psychological sanity” They have a independant Psychiatrist who evaluates/reviews your mental health and danger to the public and yourself. If you deemed to be a danger then your sectioned under mental health act. At that point you should be removed from prison and sent a mental care hospital. This does not always happen and you could be left in a prison cell for sometime. If you take a real dislike to the Psychiatrist and throw a chair at them, your evaluation takes no time at all. And two officers push to the floor kicking you, then throw you in to your cell not giving any food or water for just over 12 hours. (well that’s my story) The British Army your one way ticket to mental health problems.
