Which switches are compatible with Alacritechs port aggregation (teaming)?

0

With just a few exceptions, any switch that supports 802.3ad link aggregation or Cisco Gigabit EtherChannel is compatible with Alacritech teaming. For more detail configuring teaming, please see our Teaming Guide. Certain types of switch have been determined to be incompatible with Alacritech teaming. They are as follows: • All unmanaged switches. • Switches that only support Destination MAC based packet distribution. Examples include: DELL Power Connect 5224 DELL Power Connect 5012 Intel 470T • Older versions of Alcatel/Xylan switches use OmniChannel (as used on the OmniS/R); a proprietary protocol that is not compatible. Newer version also support 802.3ad, and will function correctly.
