Which states in India are rated well in terms of adoption of technology for water management?
It is very difficult to rate states in water management. However, Andhra Pradesh is way ahead in terms of employing water harvesting technology and also in leveraging information and communication technology to improve agricultural productivity by using available water resources prudently. Of course, there are many success stories right from Ralegaon Sidhi to Alwar in Rajasthan and many other places in Maharashtra, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh. What are the views of CII in relation to technology adoption in water conservation? We in CII very strongly believe that water will be the most constraining factor for our economic and industrial growth as we go along.
