Which states allow passengers to travel in campers? I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to re-find the Web site I found (and subsequently lost) that told me which states it is legal to ride as a passenger in a 5th Wheel camper, while it is being towed. I know there are 18 states that allow it with no restrictions, and 4 more that will allow it as long as you have a communication device between the trailer and the rig. We’re planning a trip to Michigan in July, and was hoping that some of the states along the way would allow me to entertain a 4-year-old while traveling!
