Which states accept NCB continuing education credits for renewal purposes?
In instances where we have approval numbers for individual states, they are listed next to the Course names under the Approvals button. The National Certification Board says that most states that use their examination for testing for entry level licensure accept continuing education credits from any instructor who holds a valid National provider number. Unfortunately, the National Certification Board is not able to provide such a list. The National Board confirms that there are states that do use the National exams that have elected to only accept continuing education courses approved by their state (Florida, for example). Since states have their own mandates and regulations – which can change – it would be advisable for you to contact your state licensing board if you are unsure of your state laws governing continuing education.
