Which Star Trek Generation episode featured both Picard and Riker doing a facepalm?
None. The image you are seeing has been doctored, albeit very well! The basic background image with Riker doing the facepalm is legit, it occurred about the 28 minute mark in the third season episode, “A Matter of Perspective”, just after Manua’s recollection and recreation of Riker hitting Dr. Apgar. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Matter_of… The original image can be viewed on this page… http://pichaus.com/p13x/startrek (It’s about the forth image down) The picard image has been the doctored one. If you look carefully along his left side (between him and Riker) you can see where the photoshopping has occurred along the edge of his arm and around his head. The image was obviously pasted in from any number of picard faceplants (like the following) and then “cleaned up with photoshop”. Again, very well done, but not authentic!
