Which shoes are good for Indiana snow – waterproof hikers or proper insulated snow boots?
It’s very important to keep your feet dry in cold weather, so I can understand your tempation to just buy wateproof hikers. They’re less expensive and lighter, so they’re a little more comfortable. But the thing about snow is that it’s cold. If you’re going to be outside for just short periods, you can get away with just hikers. But if you’re going to be outside for longer periods, you will appreciate having very warm boots on.
