Which schools can I apply to through the Lancashire County Council Online School Admissions system?
Parents can apply to any Primary School in Lancashire through the Online School Admissions system, except independent schools. This includes Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools and Voluntary Aided (Church) Schools or Foundation Schools. When applying for a primary school place, the parent/guardian needs to apply to the Local Authority that covers the area in which the school is situated. For example: if a parent who lives in Lancashire wished to apply to a primary school in Cumbria, they would need to apply using the Cumbria Authority’s application system. Note that Voluntary Aided (Church) Schools and Foundation Schools normally require a supplementary application form to be completed. Note that Voluntary Aided (Church) Schools and Foundation (Grammar) Schools normally require a supplementary application form to be completed. Please consult the school in question regarding this. For example: if a parent who lives in Lancashire wants to apply to a secondary school in Merseyside they would apply to Lancashire County Council and could do so through the Online Admissions System.
