Which schools are involved in the BS21 Programme?
• Why are primary schools involved in this programme? The funding for the Building Schools for the 21st Century programme is intended for secondary schools and secondary age special schools. However, we propose that Rosedale College becomes an all-through school by expanding the age range to include primary aged pupils. This would provide new primary school places in line with anticipated demand and help to ease the move between primary and secondary education. We also propose that Highfield Primary school is located on the same site as Abbotsfield and Swakeleys schools. • What does co-locating schools mean? Co-location is a way of bringing together traditionally separate schools or age groups onto one site.
