Which scanner is better out of these two Canon LiDE100 and Epson V33?

Hi There, I have a Canon LIDE 30 and it works for scanning photos, etc. Also have a Visioneer that works also very well. The Visioneer has an OCR program with it and Paper Port which the Canon does not have. Either the Canon or Epsonr would probably work for you. The Epson has higher resolution (4800 x 9600) and costs about $100- at New Egg. It has a separate power supply so would take another power outlet. It is Energy Star rated and can be recycled. Has support for Windows 7 The Canon has 2400 x 4800 resolution but costs about $56- at New Egg. The Canon is powered from the USB cable so you do not need another power outlet. Both are USB 2.0 so would be pretty fast. It has support for up to Vista (but should work on Windows 7 ). Of the two the Epson is the better scanner (but it costs more). Either probably would work for you. Only you can decide since you know what you will be using it for.
