Come to think of it, maybe Ben Bernanke should sit down with the increasingly apathetic actor to find out the secret of his success. Mr. Cage motored his way to number one this weekend, helping his sci-fi flick, Knowing, take in $24.8 million to take the top spot. Knowing gave Cage his third consecutive number one opening in the past year and a half. It also marked the second big win for Summit, the distributor behind Knowing, who also scored big with Twilight. Nonchalant Nic beat out Paul Rudd and Jason Segel in I Love You, Man. The big-time bromance came in at number two with $18 million. That total was on par with Paul Rudd’s last winner, Role Models, which took home $19.2 million in its opening weekend.
