Which RC Car power is best – Gas or Electric?
If you are just starting out in RC (Radio Controlled) Cars – you may choose to start with an electric powered car. They are cleaner, don’t break down as much and you can operate them indoors, since they are quiter and they do not produce any exhaust fumes. RC Cars that are powered by Gas (Nitro) do offer more excitement, especially to newcomers who are upgrading from RC electric cars. You probably are looking for more realism and more speed. Gas cars usually have an automatic transmission with several gears. The gas engine provides a realistic sound and smell. And you do not have to wait for a battery to charge up. Simply fill er up and you are off! But because Gas RC Cars are faster, create exhaust and are noisy, they are usually best driven outdoors, on special tracks and require more open space. Not that one is any better. They are simply different and serve a different need and driver. You may wish to have one of each – since there are times when a nice quite, clean, electric power
