Which promote more violence, music, video games, movies or all of the above?

I’d say music. I think music has a slightly deeper impact than movies. Music is very important when you’re young. Movies always seem unreal. I don’t think video games have much influence unless someone plays them for hours everyday.

Good question, andblack. I actually think that poverty, lack of education, and poor parenting are more likely causes. If you are poor, or uneducated, or raised with apathetic parents, I can imagine that you would turn to violence as a way to solve problems because you know no other alternative. As an example, I was raised with violent videogames and movies, yet I had parents who loved me and took care of me and I never had to resort to crime or violence to feed myself or solve any issue I was having. All people are different, of course, and some could be influenced by music, and such, but this is my theory, for what it’s worth.
