Which products of digestion are absorbed by the blood capillary and which are absorbed by the lacteal?

Alright. 😀 I’ll tell you all i know about the lacteal. Within each villus in the small intestine is a lacteal/lymphatic capillary, that is entwined in blood capillaries. Glucose and amino acids are absorbed by diffusion into the blood capillaries. They are also absorbed by active transport when there is a lower concentration of digested food substances in the lumen of the small intestines than in the blood capillaries. That’s why you see mitochondria in the microvilli, which are epithelial cells of the villi. Glucose and amino acids are brought the the liver. Glycerol and fatty acids diffuse into the epithelium, where they are recombine to form fat globules and enter the lacteal. That’s all i know about the lacteal, good luck!
