Your assumption is correct, but I’ll try to give you some guidelines. Gem 27 resil right now but know that there is a soft cap – 1230. This cap is on the damage from Crit strikes (33% reduction). There is no max reduction on Dot Effects or Crit Chance reduction (also mana drains – not sure). Furious gear (and beyond) will offer more Resilience baseline on gear, so that may (should) push you near or over the cap properly gemmed. At that point, you will want to push stam.
