Which pollutants are used by plants and dissolve in sea water?
Even water may be deemed a pollutant. Additional water can change the salinity levels. Water distillation produces saltier water that is often returned to the source, increasing salinity. Fresh water added to salt water will decrease the salinity and may impact species that are sensitive to the change. Adding heated or cooled water back to a natural source can cause environmental changes (often called thermal pollution).
