Almost all i-Mode subscribers use 3G only, not 2G. Today (August 2008) about 90% of DoCoMo’s subscribers also subscribe to i-Mode, and 85% of DoCoMo’s subscribers are 3G subscribers. We conclude that only about 5% of i-Mode subscribers today use i-Mode via slow and expensive 2G connections.
