I wore the calvins quite some time ago and didn’t really love them- use the under armor under board shorts. Neither of them will be that big an improvment over the hanes- boxer briefs will always be a little more loose around “the stuff” than regular briefs. In some ways you can get the worst of both worlds by going with boxer briefs- not the full support of briefs, but not the freedom of boxers either. The calvins are a bit better than the hanes in not being too loose- but I found the leg opening on the thigh to be a bit too tight/small. It stretched a little but wasn’t really comfortable to me. My husband has the Hanes Boxer Briefs, so I know what you’re talking about. It doesn’t bother him, but since it bothers you, I would recommend the Under Armour. It has a more supportive fit, plus it has moisture wicking attributes the Calvin Klein doesn’t. Trust me, always go for the moisture wicking– you’ll be more comfortable, especially in summer.
