Which paintball marker is better a smart parts ion or a spyder vs1?
I own an Ion, and Ive owned my fair share of spyder guns. Ion is blow forward electro pneumatic; it can only use compressed air or anti siphoned co2. The Ion is a spool valve marker. VS1 I believe is a sear tripper. The difference between spool valve and a sear tripper is very important. Spool valves are the design incorporated into high end markers (same as in all Dye and Proto markers with the exception of the Proto SLG I believe), and sear trippers are usually low end markers especially relating to spyder which only makes low end markers. Sear trippers only have electronics in the grip which trip the sear for you, so it uses electronics to run a mechanical system. Spool valves are fully electronic. Both markers are easy maintenance if you know what you’re doing (Ive owned some older electric spyder I cant even remember the name of, but it sucked, and I own an Ion, but both are easy to strip). The Ion you have to be more careful with when you strip, but as long as youre careful, it s
