Which one is the best in sewage system county sewer, cesspool, or septic?

A county sewer is the most convenient because you don’t have to maintain it or worry much about it, but you do have to pay a monthly fee to use it. A septic system is relatively trouble free but does require periodic maintenance to muck out the tank (a tank pump company does this). Cesspools aren’t legal most places anymore. Most times, however, you don’t get a choice: Where I live there is no county or city sewer to every house has a septic system. Here’s some info on pumping septic tanks: http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/asktoh/q… FYI if you have a sewer system you usually (but not always) have city water. If you have a septic system you usually have well water.
