Which one is advisable jogging or brisk walking for persons more than 65yrs old. And at what speed?
Brisk walking is typically better b/c running/jogging puts great amounts of strain on the joints, especially the knees. B/c everyone is in different physical condition and b/c someone at 65 may have health considerations, it is best to ask your/their doctor what a target heart rate should be and then get a heart rate monitor. This will help to maintain a walking pace that is increasing your heart rate an ideal level.
