Which of the Jovian moons is most geologically active? Why?

0

Io (eye-oh), it’s close to Jupiter, and the other large moons are outside it’s orbit, therefore, it has massive gravity pulling it from BOTH sides at times, and not at others. Imagine stretching a rubber band and letting it go. The energy releases as volcanoes. It is THE most active object in the known solar system.
