Which of my items should I pack myself to save the most money?
I suggest you pack items that are manageable in size and does not require special handling and easily tossed in a box like your sheets, books, pillows, etc. have the movers pack your breakables and electronics as they usually have special packaging materials for these, like bubble wraps or wooden frames if need be… bigger items such as beds and sofas are rather tricky…depends on the value of your items, you might opt to either have them wrapped and protected from bumps and scrapes or if you not too concerned, you can have them ship as is.
