Answer: I agree that multiple news media and other reports on recalls sometimes contain misleading, inaccurate information, subject to interpretation of the consumer. The fact is that Nutro officials were notified by Menu Foods on April 10th, 2007 that the China wheat gluten believed to be contaminated with melamine had been added to other products, in addition to those previously recalled. At that time, Nutro decided to recall ALL of their products which contain wheat gluten.
