I don’t claim knowledge of what its national policies towards America are, but I will state from experience that there is an overwhelming love for America in Albania. While driving through any part of Albania, the tourist will be amazed by the number of American flags flying side by side with the Albania’s flag on businesses and local residences. And if the Albanians discover that you are American, they will flock to you…not for handouts, but for conversation and to pass on their admiration for what America stands for and means to them. The love that Albanians have for America is two-fold in my estimation and has had years to develop.
