Which new planet is discovered that had water?
There is no known planet that has been proven to have liquid water, and liquid water is the important part. It doesn’t do life much good if it’s in the form of ice. It is suspected that sometime in the distant past, Mars had liquid water on its surface, but conditions changed, and it now exists only as ice (and there’s only very little of it). It is believed that an extrasolar planet known cleverly as “HD 189733b” has water vapor in its atmosphere; it is larger than Jupiter.
None so far. Water has been discovered on Mars and our moon. And scientists theorize there is water under the surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa and Saturn’s moon Enceladus. There could be water on some of the other moons of Jupiter and Saturn as well. As for exoplanets, there have been a few that COULD have liquid water on their surface because the exoplanet is within the liquid water range of its star. But none have been proven to have liquid water on their surfaces (water in the spectrum of the planet could mean water vapour, not necessarily liquid water).
