Which NBCC examination does the Board require for licensure as a Professional Counselor?
The Board accepts either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) for the licensure examination. The applicant for licensure may choose. Both examinations meet the requirements for licensure. Examination descriptions, samples of tests, study materials, etc, must be obtained directly from NBCC.
