The pectoral muscles and the triceps are involved in push-ups. To build these up push-ups is already a good exercise but it tends to tire most of the people. You can opt for push-ups(say 2 sets of 25) before chest exercise day followed by bench press 3 sets of inclined bench press, declined bench press, flat bench press. As far as weights are concerned do ask a trainer in your gym(coz he/she would know more about your potential more than i do coz they see you while you workout). Follow this with dumbbell or machine flies with moderate weight with respect to your earlier workout. When you do these the triceps are also involved so after doing this exercise if you have the stamina workout your triceps as well or go for a separate biceps/triceps workout on some other day of the week.
