Which Ministry issues Casino License in Goa State, India?
Its a funny answer that I have for you but it is true. The government of Goa is twiddling with its thumbs as to who is the appropriate authority on the matter. Currently the customs and central excise department issue the licence to operate the boats in the Mandovi and that includes casinos ( mysteriously) Ther are two ministries and two ministers who are upset that they are not getting any share of the pie despite their ministries being eligible for issuing the licence. The two departments which should have issued the licence should have been the River navigation department because the casinos are operating in the Mandovi river , and the Tourism department as the casinos are part of tourism activities as also the customs department or there should have been a separate body constituted to look into all three aspects and issue the licence accordingly.
