Which Mayan archaeological sites are located in or near the Riviera Maya?
Inside Mayan Riviera territory is located the highest Mayan pyramid, the Nohoch-Mul inside the archaeological site of Cob. Muyil is another interesting site, and of course Tulum, the Mayan Icon of the Mexican Caribbean. Going south there are impressive sites like Kohunlich, Kinichn, Dzibanch, Oxtankah and Chacchoben. And in the neighbor state of Yucatan are located the monumental Maya sites of Chichen Itza, Dzibilchaltn, Uxmal and Ek Balam.
