Which man-made or natural object is visible from space?
It is a myth that only the Great Wall of China is visible from space. Let’s assume you are in low earth orbit, where communications satellites orbit and the space shuttle roams. You are looking down at the earth with just your naked eye. What do you see? Airports, the Pentagon, large bridges, roads, railroad tracks, rivers, lakes, stadiums. You can actually see most of the very large structures you’d see from a commercial jet. What about the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids at Giza? Those are actually very hard to see because they are built of local natural materials like stone and mud brick. This makes them the same color as the surrounding land and they blend in, becoming effectively invisible.
