Which links are foreseen to national LCA projects such as e.g. the German Network Life Cycle Data (NLZ) and other governmental life cycle related activities in the EU?
Next to data related activities in private sector database developers, a variety of LCI databases and methodological guidance documents have been developed in national projects. The nature of these projects is quite diverse, with different scopes, mandate, governmental recognition and industry participation. In order to ease the access and exchange of life cycle related information and data for LCA practitioners in Europe, the Platform project foresees a direct exchange and coordination with national activities, primarily within but not limited to the EU. Already developed approaches will carefully be taken into consideration and taken further towards the European deliverables. Outputs from ongoing activities, both within the governments as well as from external research, can be complimentary to the efforts of the Platform projects in developing its deliverables and will be taken into account.
