Which layer of the atmosphere makes radio communication possible ?
Technically, you don’t need an atmosphere at all to have radio communication. If you did, then radios wouldn’t work in space. And they do. But, the different layers of the atmosphere do influence radio communication, for better and for worse. This depends upon the time of year (weather related), time of day and frequency of the radio waves. However, the ionosphere has the most influence in worldwide communication due to the bouncing ability of radio waves off this layer.
