Which language is best to learn to communicate in near future?
I’d firstly like to point out that India has actually surpassed China in terms of economic growth, but still has a much smaller economy. Also, the French language is in a state of rapid decline the world over, I wouldn’t recommend it. Now, I cannot see English losing any of its ground as a “global language” any time in the coming century. In fact, English should gain an even firmer grip on global affairs. If you’ve been to Europe recently and spoken with the younger members of the population, the majority of them speak fluent English. The European Union is the world’s largest economy (and the United States has the largest economy of any single nation) and, in 25-30 years, it will see the ascension of a new generation of leaders– all of whom shall speak English. The world’s largest economy will soon be lead by a government that speaks English.
