Which jack do I plug the ethernet cable into?
• Make sure that the ethernet cable is blue, and that it is plugged in to the black jack on the wall. The black jack is usually labeled data. It might have been painted over so you may not see that it is the black one. • Another way to tell is that in wall plates that are mounted sideways the right jack is for data (left is for phone). In wall plates mounted vertically it is the bottom jack.
