I think you mean “cheaper” electric car not “shipper.” If you will research under “NEV” or “neighborhood electric vehicles” you will see smaller vehicles that have limited speed to comply with NEV laws and be street legal. Other electric vehicles try to reduce some expensive regulations by having only 3 wheels and therefore are legal as “motorcycles” and not subject to the same crash test requirements. There are a lot of people who are converting their ICE vehicles to electric. You might examine contacts with some of these as well.
