Which is the cheapest state in Australia as far as cost of living is concerened?

I actually think that no state is cheaper, there are cheaper areas in every state. Remote areas are cheaper for housing but more expensive for every day living. Places inland in regional cities are usually quite cheaply priced, housing is around $200,000, petrol and food prices are the same as the city and travel isn’t so expensive. If I were to choose which city, probably Adelaide, I think the transport costs would make Hobart more costly.

Others said South Australia, so there’s no need for me to repeat that. If I have to pick a different state, then it will definitely be Western Australia (Perth) and Tasmania (Hobart). Queensland ain’t that bad, too.

Housing is less expensive in South Australia than in the other states. Other living expenses are much the same throughout the country.
