It is also recommended that you find out what kind of worms your puppy has: roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms? Tapeworms seem to be the most common since they occur when a dog ingests a flea. My puppy had a case of them last summer and I had to take her to the vet to get proper care because the OTC dewormers just didn’t help to completely get rid of her tapeworms. As for fleas, she is too young for brands like Bio-Spot, Zodiac, Hartz, Adams, and the like – those state puppies must be 12 weeks and older and I wouldn’t recommend them at all.
