Which is the best renewable source to tackle the energy crisis?
In the UK the most abundant energy resources are wind, wave and tidal. When it comes to technology wind energy is the most developed and hence is best placed in order to produce the most energy from a renewable source. Solar power does have it’s issues and further developments need to be made to make high levels of cheap solar panels. However, the UK is situated quite north and the ability to harness solar power is limited. This means that it wont produce high levels of energy compared to other methods but, that doesn’t mean it should be completely ignored. Pretty much all the methods of producing power such as hydroelectric, geothermal etc are all useful and are needed to tackle the energy crisis if we especially want to avoid the nuclear option. But, overall wind energy will have the biggest impact.
