for a student i would recommend a mac because of the ease of use speed durability and the fact that with parallels or bootcamp and a spare copy of xp you can basically have a pc and mac in the same case but for price i would recommend one of the cheaper hp’s please note my last hp is several years old but i grew to despise it and finally upgraded to mac which i love way more. also please note the guy above me was telling you to get a macbook air i think but do not do this macbook air’s are for wealthy people to tote around and use for checking youtube and surfing the web.
