Which is the best Greek Island to go?
I’d recommend the island of Santorini with it’s capital Thira (Fira). The island is one of the most beautiful of the islands in the The Cyclades group of islands. It has a little for everyone, Fira is the lively capital but the island has quieter parts like Oia and Perissa. I think the only issue for you would be getting to the island. It does have an airport but I gather it can be expensive and flights to here are limited to direct flights from Athens or charter flights from the UK, Germany and Netherlands. You can take a ferry from Athens (Piraeus) or from other ports at other Greek islands. I’d recommend heading over to Athens, spending a couple of days there and then getting to Santorini. You can actually take a ferry to most islands from Athens (Piraeus) quite easily.
