There are no consoles that can play pirated games out of the box. That’s one of the reasons consoles exist. It gives developers a major incentive to make great games, knowing they are heavily copy-protected. Both the xbox and ps2, from the last generation, are fairly easily modded and hacked to play copied games, as well as install emulators from older systems like SNES. But beware, mod one and you won’t be playing their games online. PS2 for instance has DNAS authentication for all original games, meaning when you try to go online, it checks to see if the original game disc is there. DNAS can also detect modded ps2’s and kick them. It’s a big trade-off modding a ps2, and not really worth it when ps2 games cost $5. The xbox360 has a homebrew option where users can make their own games using Garage Games’s Torque engine, then sell them, however that’s not really piracy and you won’t get the best games, you’ll get cheapo games from that at best.
