Which Is the Best Ebook Reader?
An Honest Review of the Kindle vs iPad for Reading Books When shopping for the best eBook reader available in the marketplace, I was able to narrow down my selection to the Apple iPad or the Amazon Kindle. Obviously the Apple iPad provides far more features when it comes to an all-in-one media system…but can it compare when it comes to strictly displaying eBooks? Since I was shopping purely for an ebook reader, I will focus only on the digital book reading experience on each device: Readability: The display screen technologies are totally different. The Kindle utilizes a reflective screen with no back-lighting while the iPad is built with a high-quality backlit IPS LED screen. I would have to say that the traditional e-ink technology employed in the Kindle is far better for the purpose of extended periods of looking at text.
