Which is most effective in communication; symbols or words?
A nazi swastika is a very effective symbol for evil. There are other effective symbols like white hoods representing the KKK, or people of color being represented as apes…or drawings of people being lynched. But words are the evilest of evil. You tell lies with words…you cause people to die by saying the right words…you can start wars by saying a few well-chosen words. You can crush someone by lashing out with words. Words are weapons of the highest order. A better weapon to use for destruction has not as yet been invented. Lies spread in blogs on the internet are all over the world in minutes…and taken as gospel and sometimes acted upon before truth ever gets a chance to speak out.
