Which is more important in world trade, Suez Canal or Panama Canal?

I would say the Suez Canal because the USA is very capable of shipping goods from the East coast to the West coast and leaving the goods in major warehouses and dockyards such as at Los Angeles to make this canal not as important as the Suez canal. If you can avoid going around the horn of Africa due to this monumental canal, Near Eastern oil, i.e. can easily make it’s markets which are in the US and Europe. As well, all Indian and SE Asian goods can make good use of the Suez Canal to reach Western markets that much easier. The Panama canal cannot compete with that. If the Far East wants to ship goods to the Americas it simply sails east and usually just docks at LA or such and it is over. The Suez canal has thus based upon my evaluation of the two major seaports has thus proved it’s greatest worth. America’s great infrastructure has aided in the obsolescence of the Panama Canal as a major sea port.
