Which is likely to cause the biggest deteriotation of speed?
Make sure the router is plugged into the master socket (the main socket) and there is a filter in and also make sure there is no extension cables between the microfilter and the phone socket. So just have the small grey cable coming from the router into the filter and the phone going into the filter and the filter going directly into the master socket (without an extension cable). First of all to check wether or not the slow connection is due to your internal wiring try this. Get a screwdriver and take out the 2 screws on the front of the phone socket and slide the front off and plug the microfitler into the socket behind that, that looks like this http://www.ispreview.co.uk/articles/week… and see if the speed has improved any, If it has then yes it is your internal wiring that is causing the problem, if not then its something else which could be something interfering with the wireless and nocking it off.
