Which is better zone alarm or comodo firewall….free versions…?
Comodo is a much better firewall than Zonealarm. But this is a big but, you need to spend some time learning how to use it. In the wrong hands it’s a waste. Plus it’s famous for memory leaks. Most users who have Comodo on their computers don’t have it configure right, and so are not getting the protection they think, they are getting. You will get cryptic pop-ups and you have to know what the program is and should you allow or deny it. User like to say they have the best firewall, so they use it. But when you get a pop up like SbieCtrl.exe is trying to install a global hook. The warning comes up in red, which means danger, allow or deny. Just denying everything and programs won’t run. Allow the wrong program and you’ve got a trojan running wild. I put good security, in a computer, then show the user how not to get infected. No infection, no need for the strong two way firewall. But if you use P2P file sharing then go with Comodo, that way when you get infected you can stop the malware
