Which is better, Warcraft 2 or Command & Conquer?
They are both good. If you like one, you’ll probably like the other. You should probably buy both. Generally, Warcraft 2 is considered better for multi-player, while Command & Conquer is considered superior for single-player play. Warcraft 2 has a medieval setting with monsters and magic. It runs in SVGA mode for nice graphics. The units for the two races are very similar, all having close or exact matches to the other side. You must harvest and manage three kinds of resources. Up to eight players are permitted in a single game (effectively six on Kali). Each package purchase allows up to three players per game (two of every three players don’t need CD’s). The cut-scenes between levels are sparse and not very pretty, but occasionally clever. It has the unique fog of war, which adds a new dimension to the game by allowing sneak attacks and surprise tactics. Command & Conquer has a modern setting with soldiers and vehicles.
